***Signing up for this does not guarantee that you will be a Junior Instructor. There will be an application and interview process becuase there is a very limited number of spots in this program.*** The Junior Instructor position is an opportunity to gain experience teaching, supervising young students, and working with sailing professionals while learning and having fun at CBC. The programs may include physically demanding work, and some heavy lifting. Junior instructors are strongly encouraged to have their own lifejacket but some CBC gear may be available. Prerequisites: At least 14 years old Positive attitude, a willingness to work, and enthusiasm for working in a fun, fast paced environment Interest in being a role model Commitment to the goals and mission of CBC Knowledge of sailing, seamanship, and sportsmanship Be punctual, reliable and work well as a member of a team and independently with basic supervision Work Requirements: Minimum of 2 weeks - Maximum of 8 weeks, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Weeks do not need to be consecutive. The Junior Instructor schedule will be created according to availability and need before the beginning of the summer with continuous updates as camp enrollment fluctuates. Junior Instructor 1's will be required to come to staff training as well from June 22nd through the 24th.
