Skills in the visual arts are built in the same way as learning to play a musical instrument or sport: by practicing and training and by challenging you with new techniques and ideas. This class will be offered continuously during the year, allowing students to progressively develop skills in visual literacy, perception and creativity progressively. Small class size (no more than six students) allow each student receive significant individual attention. Join us to study observational drawing, painting, composition and creative imagery using fundamental concepts of line, shading, texture and color. We will progress in time to perspective, volume, human figure and portrait. Students will work according to their level of experience, personal interest and individual artistic style.
