MAKING A DIFFERENCE SUMMER CAMP TEEN INTERNSHIP AGES 13-17 The Y believes that teens need a place to grow & mature. Let us introduce your teen to leadership/job skills that will help them build self confidence, feel a sense of accomplishment and build lifelong friendships with campers & staff. Your teen will gain knowledge and compassion working with children ages 6-12. This summer, join the Y in its efforts to help create a summer filled with safe and fun adventures for our youth. Teens will be trained in Basic Life Support, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen, as well as trained to be a junior lifeguard. ~~PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW, INCLUDING NEXT STEPS FOR TEEN INTERNS. Once all information is received and reviewed, those invited to participate in Teen Intern Camp will receive more information on how to complete their registration. CAMP SESSIONS: Weekly May 28th - August 9th NO CAMP Monday, May 27th NO CAMP Thursday, July 4th CAMP DAY: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM Intern schedules will be based on availability of Intern and the needs of camp. TEEN INTEREST MEETING More information to come MANDATORY INTERN TRAINING DATES: PLEASE NOTE: Interns are required to attend all sessions. Sessions listed in attached parent manual. CAMP FEES: Full Members NEW Participant - TOTAL SUMMER FEE: $175* Basic Members NEW Participant - TOTAL SUMMER FEE: $200* *RETURNING Participants - Save $50 on the total summer fee! *Fee is the total fee for the program for the entire summer. It is not a weekly fee. This entire fee is due upon registration. NEXT STEPS FOR PROSPECTIVE INTERNS: *All prospective interns must complete and submit the Teen Intern Application, found below under the MORE INFORMATION section. Once the review is complete, parents and teens will be contacted with more information including interviews, how to register, background screening, etc. *Please note, a Google account is needed to complete the form. This can be accomplished by having or creating a FREE Gmail account, or creating a FREE Google account.
