1 Thursday, July 17, 1:00 - 2:30 pm Create Your Own Paste Papers Taught by Karen Yarnall, 14+ $16 Member / $18 Non-member Transform plain white paper into dazzling paper! Using a mixture of wheat paste and acrylic paints, we will explore using a variety of tools and colors to create amazing textures and patterns on paper. When dry, these papers can be displayed as works of abstract art or used to make book covers and end pages, cut into strips to be woven together, or to create other works of art. Join the fun of decorating your own paper! No experience is necessary. Please wear an old shirt. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Karen is an rtist and art teacher. She received her BA from Franklin College, IN, and her MAE (Masters of Art Ed) from Herron School of Art, Indiana University/ Purdue University; She taught at Newark High School for over 20 years as well as at other schools.
