About This Activity
Description
The purpose of this course is to train instructor candidates to teach Infant, Preschool, and School Age Learn to Swim programs, Basic Water Rescue, and Longfellow's Whale Tales courses. Learn instructional techniques from preschool to the most advanced levels of swimming. This course consists of both lecture and practical sessions. Upon completion of this course the successful candidate will hold a nationally recognized Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification. Certification is valid for approximately two years. One hundred percent attendance is required. Students should possess strong swimming skills. A pre-test will take place at the beginning of the course.
