OBJECTIVES: In addition to helping children orient to a water environment, this program teaches water adjustment and basic swimming skills. These classes are held without parents and require the children to be ready to participate independently of their parent in a group setting. Children will develop an awareness of their own bodies, acquire a feeling of independence, gain a sense of success and increase their self-esteem.
