FLYING FISH: Intermediate 2LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Continue to refine stroke mechanics on all strokes; learn how to breathe on both sides (bi-lateral breathing); flip turns for crawl stroke and learn how to snorkel. Learn about backyard pool, waterpark, and beach safety. Learn about risk-taking and develop personal ground rules.REQUIRED SKILLS TO PARTICIPATE: Can float for 10 minutes and tread water for 3 minutes; can swim 50 yards (2 lengths of the lap pool) of each: the crawl stroke with side breathing, breaststroke with proper timing, elementary backstroke with a glide, back crawl stroke, sidestroke with scissor kick, and 15 yards of butterfly stroke.
