Work with longtime Actor Factory instructor Alissa Branch Developing monologue performance skills is a benefit applicable for both stage and camera - since sometimes audition material doesn’t have the reader speaking at all and the actor has to generate the circumstances and response mostly from their imaginations. Over the course of the intensive, Branch says
"We’ll talk about the weirdness of a one-sided conversation when you’re acting. We will use a series of fun, creative exercises and coaching sessions to work one monologue from beginning to end, to help fire up the actors’ imaginations so that they can imagine themselves in the given the circumstances to make their monologue work seem truthful, spontaneous, and “full”. Then, in the afternoon, they’ll each do one different monologue that I give to them on-the-spot - and have them try to achieve similar performance goals.” This will be a fun deep-drive into monologue performance and creation and it is only open to 12 students aged 12-17 Spending a day under her tutelage is good for the soul. Good for beginners to advanced actors. Cost for the day is only $150
