About This Activity
Artists will create a cloth-like art piece by interlacing yarn, thread, or fabric strips on a loom or similar substrate. Guided by an instructor, artists will learn basic weaving technique and terminology. This course is designed for beginners, but all levels are welcome. Small camp size with multiple instructors to ensure we provide an engaging and personalized camp experience. *This is a half day camp but if you select that afternoon camp as well you can make this a full day with instructor supervised lunch break from 12-12:30 then into the afternoon camp. McTavish Academy Of Art is located on 4.2 acres in North Saanich. The 18,000 sq foot facility has multiple studios and gardens as well as indoor and outdoor play space for children to explore. Half day camps will be based in Studio #4 with outdoor time built in.
