About This Activity

Discovering God’s callings and pursuing them is often difficult at best. This concentration is designed to deal honestly and practically with the questions many of us face while in the midst of transition from college. Students will outline what the Bible teaches about calling, describe (in broad strokes) how the Biblical concept of calling has been interpreted historically in the doctrine of vocation, construct a Biblically and historically informed system of beliefs about calling, explore a personal sense of call and callings in light of a Biblically and historically informed theology of calling/vocation, and create a plan for continued discernment of callings in Christian community on campus and beyond. This concentration is ideal for juniors and seniors.
