Description

This activity is closed to further registration.

Get your students to think globally and act locally as they learn about biodiversity and participate in a restoration-focused work session that demonstrates how groups can make a big difference in a short amount of time. 90 minutes. Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and noon. Register at (630) 850-8112.

Grades 4 - 12
$75 per program for 15 - 30 students
(Enhance your trip by adding a one-hour naturalist-led hike for an extra $2 per student.)
NGSS: LS 1, 2, 4 ESS 2, 3


The Forest Preserve District recommends one chaperone per 10 students grades 4 - 8 and one per 15 students grades 9 - 12. Everyone should dress for the weather and bring water. (Bring sunscreen and bug spray, too, if needed.) Trails are asphalt or crushed limestone, but waterproof shoes are recommended on muddy days. If the weather's severe, the Forest Preserve District may need to cancel your program.
