Learn how a raw sheep fleece goes from being a stinky, matted mess into soft, beautiful roving ready for spinning. If you’re interested in spinning from wool you’ve prepared yourself or are just curious about how the process of making wool yarn begins, this program is for you. Ages 8 and up; under 18 with an adult. $5 per person. To register by phone instead, call 630-850-8110.
This program meets at the Graue House. Park at the lot on the east side of the intersection of York and Spring roads. Cross York at the crossing sign, or use the underpass. The house is just south of the mill.
