"The 'door of faith' (Acts 14:27) is always open for us, ushering us into the life of communion with God and offering entry into his Church. It is possible to cross that threshold when the word of God is proclaimed and the heart allows itself to be shaped by transforming grace." With these words, Pope Benedict XVI inaugurated theYear of Faith as a moment of the New Evangelisation, fifty years after the opening of the Second Vatican Council. What is faith? How is faith exercised? Who are the heroes of faith? From Sunday, 10 August to Saturday, 16 August 2014, the Mark Seven Bible Institute will host its eigth annual study week as we explore the saints of the Old and New Testaments and their experience of faith: Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Mary, Peter, Paul, and many others. We will discover how their lives can inspire our Catholic faith, the faith by which we enter into friendship with God. Conducted entirely in ASL, we will host daily Masses, workshops, field trips, and evenings of relaxation and enjoyment in the unparalleled beauty of the Adirondack Mountains on Fourth Lake. The study week includes a pilgrimage (destination TBA) and opportunities for prayer, reflection, and new friendships. All are welcome!
