About This Activity
Description
Step beyond human perspective and into the voice of another being—tree, river, owl, or stone. Through deep listening, meditation, and creative expression, craft a mask and embody the wisdom of the natural world. Speak on behalf of your chosen being in a ceremonial council, sharing its messages, concerns, and gifts. Inspired by the work of Joanna Macy, this practice fosters empathy, ecological awareness, and a renewed sense of connection with the Earth. What do the beings of the natural world have to say, and how can you listen more deeply? Instructor: Lynn Fitz-Hugh, Thurston Friends of Trees
