Description
If you’re fascinated by plants and nature, this camp focuses on the science behind gardening and plant growth. You’ll learn how to build a mini greenhouse, test soil for nutrients, and plant seeds to see how different plants thrive in various conditions. Along the way, you’ll explore the roles of sunlight, water, and soil in plant health and growth. Get ready for a hands-on experience that will nurture both your curiosity and your green thumb! Staff-to-camper ratio is 1:8. Instructor: Big Brothers Big Sisters staff
Prerequisites: familiarity with computers and access to personal software account logins and the ability to work independently and with a partner.
Summer Camp Withdrawals/Transfers: Camp Refunds for camp registrations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee per session/week. A full refund, excluding the cancellation fee, will be issued if cancellation notification is received at least 14 days before the camp session's first date. If withdrawal occurs within 2 to 14 days of the camp session's start, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the total camp fee. Withdrawals after 5:00 pm on the Friday before a camp week will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total camp fee. No refunds will be given after the camp begins unless the satisfaction policy applies. Transfers are allowed at no cost, provided there is an available spot; however, campers transferring from a camp to a waiting list will be charged the appropriate fee.
