Create layers of mixed media on journal pages inspired by fall gardens and the Fall Equinox. Using a children's board book, re-purpose the pages with gesso, acrylic paint, collage, stencils, doodles, words and stamped images to create a one-of-a-kind visual journal. Pages take shape with leaves made from cloth, ephemera and paper napkin collage. Most supplies included in class fee. Instructor: Ellen Miffitt
Instructor provides majority of materials but you may have some bits & pieces tucked away that would enhance the idea of a "fall floral" mixed media artwork. Start collecting collage elements such as: leaves, nuts, twigs, sand, small stones, gemstones; Dried materials, flowers and such, are better than fresh ones; Yarn, string, lace, buttons, beads, wire, fabric scraps. Keep in mind the fall flower theme- scraps of paper such as junk mail, magazine pages, photos, decorative papers, pattern tissue, wrapping papers, street papers, decorative paper bags
