About This Activity
Description
This Specialized Recreation class is designed for those who are developmentally between ages 5-9 and who are neurodivergent and/or on the autism spectrum. Partnering with South Sound Dance Access and Sensory Tool House LLC, we provide a nurturing space for creative dance that fosters motor skills, self-expression, and mind-body connection. Participants will explore dance styles, concept-based games, and movement elements like time, space, and direction, all supported by sensory tools and props.
This class is for those who are developmentally between ages of 5 & 9 years of age. Please send your dancer in comfy clothes they can easily move in. Kids can dance in socks or bare feet. Please bring headphones for your child if they benefit from wearing them, we will have a few spare pairs as well!
