We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, November 19, 2016.
Swimmers will learn the basics of general and personal safety including water entry and exit, breath control, underwater swimming, and the principles of buoyancy. As the class progresses, swimmers improve these skills, as well as also learn how to tread water and maintain the proper body mechanics to swim on their front and back.
Children 3 and older need to be accompanied by the same sex parent/guardian in order to go into the appropriate locker room. We are offering an alternative bathroom in order to act as a family locker room due to the building limitations. However, this bathroom does not have locker room amenities, such as showers or lockers. Please dry off to the best of your ability before leaving to pool area and sandals are highly recommended. The alternative bathroom area will be pointed out to you on the first day of class, as they are different locations for each school.
