PM - Kitchen Chemistry Black Friday Camp - ORCHARD PARK Orchard Park Friday, November 28, 2025 12:30pm-3:30pm Miss Jen R. Campers will step into the exciting world of chemistry using everyday kitchen ingredients to explore how science is all around us. The session will begin with a hands on chemistry making homemade hot cocoa mix to investigate measurements & disolving solid into a liquid. Campers will enjoy a read-aloud of a science-themed book Ada Twist, Scientist by Andrea Beaty, followed by a short discussion connecting curiosity and experimentation to the activities they are conducting. Campers will design colorful “chemistry journals,” recording observations, sketching what they see during experiments, and decorating their pages with diagrams and creative illustrations. Throughout the camp, cooperative learning will be emphasized with team-based experiments creating oobleck with kitchen ingredients, testing what dissolves in water?
