Does your child have an interest in working in recreation? Do they enjoy playing, leading, and engaging with their community? Here's their chance to be part of the next generation of public servants! This fun-filled morning is designed for children aged 8 to 12 years old and is completely focused on having a great time. Your child will gain hands-on experience, learn new skills, and help make the day enjoyable and memorable for all participants. They will take on the role of a Program Leader—a recreation leader position within the Parks & Recreation Department. For that morning, they will play an important role in helping to "get the job done" in recreation programming.
Space is limited. Each registrant will get a t-shirt and a "work" badge. HOW FUN!
This activity is purely for fun. Give the kids a day to "work" and help and be a Program Leader for one shift. There will be structured activities throughout the 3 hours. Participants need not be there the entire time, but are welcome to participate for the entire time.
