Learn to code. On the computer we give you. That you’ll take home. With the game you build on it. Yes - It’s all true. This camp session is powered by CHIP - the world’s first fully functioning $9 computer - straight from Kickstarter. In this session, each camper creates a game on their very own computer. And at the end of the class, they take their game and their computer home. What’s CHIP? It’s a computer that can fit into the palm of your hand that’s packed with Wi-Fi, bluetooth, HDMI and VGA ports, 512MB of RAM, 1GHz processor, and 4GB of storage! CHIP comes pre-loaded with a visual programming tool called Scratch, making it ideal for younger coders. It’s also compatible with many compilers to enable other coding languages for our older coders. Campers get a quick start to coding on this amazing new and tiny computer. And when they get home, they can take their learning anywhere - literally! Welcome to the Internet of Things - kid sized and tech powered.
