About This Activity
Description
Please note that you are registering for the Parent and Me Mother Sauces Class on Saturday, July 12.
In this class we will teach various techniques for 3 different "mother" sauces of French cuisine:
- Bechamel: A rich white sauce made with milk infused with herbs and other flavorings.
- Tomate: This mother sauce resembles a traditional tomato sauce but is more flavorful.
- Velouté: A savory sauce that is made from a roux and light stock.
We will use these sauces in a few different dishes. Class includes cooking demos, hands on experience and 3 different delicious recipes to enjoy or take home.
Your registration fee includes all of the ingredients and supplies that you will use during the class.
Please register the child who will be participating in this activity. When registering, you will be asked to list the name of the grown-up who will be attending for this grown-up and me experience.
If you're registering multiple children for this activity, please note that for every two children registered, one adult must attend.
$30 Sibling Discount. Siblings must enroll at the same time to receive the discount.
Please wear closed toe shoes. Participants with long hair should pull their hair back or wear it up.
