This hands-on skills training prepares you to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults and children (does not include infants). It also teaches the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). These practices require strenuous activity. If you have a medical condition or disability that might prevent you from taking part in the practice sessions, or if you have any questions at all about your ability to participate fully in the course, you should discuss it with your health care provider before you start the course.
Upon successful completion of the American Red Cross course, you will receive a certificate via email approximately 1 week after the last day of the course. The certification for Adult CPR/AED is valid for two years.
Books and materials will be available to you during the class but you wil not be allowed to take them home.
