Each summer, the University of Pennsylvania School of Design offers an unparalleled four week intensive art program for aspiring artists who are serious about pursuing an art degree at university. This pre-college art program prepares you for college admissions as you experience college life and expand your portfolio. You’ll work with Penn’s faculty in Penn’s art studios as you create art and develop your artistic expression. Finally, all student work is displayed in a culminating exhibition in Penn's art gallery which takes place on the last Friday of the session. In order to begin your application to Art: Summer at Penn, you must submit payment of the $75 non-refundable application fee and a deposit of $250 (amount applied to tuition). If you are not accepted into the program, your deposit with be refunded. Application are reviewed on a rolling basis, to ensure your space in the program we encourage you to submit your application with all supplemental materials as quickly as possible. Only completed applications will be considered for admission, and decisions will be announced as follows: Round 1 - January 15, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Nov 27 – Dec 31) Round 2 - February 12, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Jan 1 - 31) Round 3 - March 11, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Feb 1 - 29) Round 4 - April 15, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Mar 1 - 31) Round 5 - May 13, 2016 (Decisions for applications complete in between Apr 1 - 30) Accepted students will be asked to submit payment of tuition within two weeks of acceptance. Payments may be made via check or wire transfer.
