FALL IS HERE! Apples are at their best! Join us for our annual trip to Highland Orchards, Thursday, November 3, and enjoy Pennsylvania’s beautiful countryside. We will begin with a guided tour of the farm’s apple-sorting area, cooling space, and cider-pressing rooms. After lunch we will enjoy a hayride through the apple orchard, pick apples, and build a scarecrow. Our day at the farm will conclude with a cider-pressing activity and a snack of freshly made doughnuts and Highland Orchard cider. Games and indoor and outdoor activities will be offered, as well as a walk to Taney Park, weather permitting. A mid-morning snack, including a beverage, will be provided. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your child’s lunch. ** Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $25. A late-afternoon snack and choice activities will be provided. The program is limited to 45 students, on a first-come, first-served basis. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT REGISTRATIONS AFTER Monday, October 3. Pick-up time is 3:00 p.m. for the regular program and 5:30 p.m. for the extended day. Students who are not picked-up at 3:00 p.m. will be automatically registered for extended day ($25 per child). Any students who are picked-up after 5:30 p.m. will be charged $25 per child for the first fifteen minutes, and then $30 for each fifteen minutes after 5:45 p.m.
