Join us for a fun-filled day experiencing an interactive program where students will learn about the history of animation and Eadweard Muybridge, the father of motion pictures. Students will watch early animated shorts and create various optical toys to take home such as the zoetrope, phenakistoscope, thaumatrope, and flip books. Please pack a lunch, including a beverage. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your child’s lunch. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $25. A late-afternoon snack and choice activities will be provided. Pick-up time is 3:00 p.m. for the regular program and 5:30 p.m. for the extended day. Late fee for pick-up after 3:00 p.m. for the regular program is $25 per child, and the late fee after 5:30 p.m. for the extended day is $25 per child for the first fifteen minutes and $30 after 5:45 p.m. The program is limited to 45 students from 1-5th grade on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for registration is Monday, April 18th at 12 midnight. Refunds will not be available after this date. We will not be able to accept any late registration.
