Offered by the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, this architecture summer program for high school students prepares you for college admissions as you experience college life and create your portfolio. Working with Penn faculty, you will experiment with different disciplines and learn new skills, using the city of Philadelphia’s historic and modern architecture as an inspiration. The courses are similar to those offered by Penn but are sequenced and paced for the age and experience of high school students. In order to begin your application to Architecture: Summer at Penn, you must submit payment of the $75 non-refundable application fee and a deposit of $500 (amount applied to tuition). If you are not accepted into the program, your deposit with be refunded. Application are reviewed on a rolling basis, to ensure your space in the program we encourage you to submit your application with all supplemental materials as quickly as possible. Only completed applications will be considered for admission, and decisions will be announced as follows: Round 1 - January 15, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Nov 27 – Dec 31) Round 2 - February 12, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Jan 1 - 31) Round 3 - March 11, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Feb 1 - 29) Round 4 - April 15, 2016 (Decisions for applications completed in between Mar 1 - 31) Round 5 - May 13, 2016 (Decisions for applications complete in between Apr 1 - 30) Accepted students will be asked to submit payment of tuition within two weeks of acceptance. Payments may be made via check or wire transfer.
