"60 is the new 30" isn't just wishful thinking - it has scientific validity. Recent studies suggest the strength training , brain training, cardiovascular workouts, supplementation, and healthy lifestyle can help "older" adult enjoy approximately the same level of physical and cognitive fitness they had at half their age.
Class starts with fun tests that measure reaction time, attention, strength, balance, memory, people skills, lung capacity, navigation ability, and more. Students define goals with weekly calendars that produce "victories". Resources include research from pubmed.gov, the book Smart, Strong & Sexy at 100? by David Kekich, BrainHQ exercises from PositScience Project renaissance, and information from the instructor's books and experience.
Class is not in session on February 16, 2015.
