About This Activity
Sailors under 12 years old, or if our Captain program is full, please register in our Skipper program. Our Captain program is for sailors over 12 years old, who will be better suited to a full day on the water due to physical and cognitive demands that sailing brings. The Captain program will still be on-land for some sessions (weather dependent, to learn sailing theory, to participate in many fun sailing and non-sailing related activities). We strongly recommend sailors register for 2 weeks of camp. This allows them enough time to get comfortable sailing as well as have sufficient time to solidify their skills. Our camp is based around the Cansail program curriculum, with our camp focused on giving sailors confidence and skills to sail safely while having as much fun as possible, rather than focusing on attaining levels. Camp runs from 9:00AM-4:00 PM each day with a 1 hour break for lunch, where sailors can stay at camp or go home to eat. Sailing is a very weather dependent, but camp will still go on with many fun and engaging on-shore activities. A Coast Guard Approved (CGA) Lifejacket is mandatory for all on water activities. As well as water shoes, swimsuit, wetsuit, sun screen. Onshore - athletic running shoes, sweat pants, hoodie, extra warm clothes, and a towel. Cancellations prior to our registration close date will receive a full refund minus a small service charge set out by our registration company. Cancellations after registration has closed but greater than 1 week before the start of the camp session will receive a 50% refund. Less than 1 week there will be no refund.
