About This Activity
Who ever said that playing with your food is a bad thing? Our Jr. Chefs will explore basic kitchen safety, learn to take proper measurements while cooking, and will learn the science behind cooking! Chefs will perform exciting hands-on experiments to learn the basics of food science and cooking. Students will also make their own recipes and take home extras to share with their families when available. With supervision from our camp counselors, campers will use small toaster ovens, hotplates, kitchen utensils, and more as they prepare their dishes. *If your child has dietary restrictions or allergies please include that information on your online registration form* Sample Topics: Does It Dissolve?, Color Changing Lemonade, Growing Gummy Bears, Scrambled Eggs, and much more! Our camps are 9am-4pm with pre and post camp options available as well! Please pack a peanut-free snack, bag lunch and refreshment for your child. Each camper receives one free camp t-shirt with each week of registration - order as many extras as you want at checkout!
