Designed for the serious college-bound high school baseball player (current grades 9-12), this comprehensive camp groups participants according to their primary defensive position. Seven daily "class periods" focus on the subjects of defensive fundamentals, defensive specialty instruction, hitting (including video analysis), bunting, base running, and strength/conditioning. Because most high school pitchers hit, pitchers in camp will participate in all offensive stations. However, their defensive periods will be focused on drills, pitches and grips, picks and holds, fielding practice, and pitching strategy. Video analysis and two bullpen session are included. In addition, information on academics, college admission, NCAA eligibility, scholarships, and professional baseball will be shared by experts in each area. Held on the University of Portland campus, both indoor and outdoor (weather dependent) facilities provide the training space in which high end instruction is delivered by professional coaches, scouts and players.
