Ever find yourself using that one bowl for eating your pasta? What makes it special? Here is your opportunity to design traditional and non-traditional pieces for showing off the food you like to eat. Handbuilding demos will be with slabs - with and without molds, to create pots for the table: cups, pitchers, vases, bowls, platters and more. Techniques covered include: stretching, paddling, ovaling, darting, cutting and pasting wheel thrown pots.
Handbuilders: all levels welcome. Wheelthrowers: Must be experienced (there will be no wheel instruction for beginners.)
Students must attend first class.
All ceramics students are required to read and follow the Ceramics Studio Policy. It contains information about students responsibilities and studio safety. Please read it by your first class. Copies are available online, at the MAC office and posted in the clay studio. By registering for a class or signing up for open studio, you are agreeing to follow studio policy. Thank you!
