Explore advanced techniques in form, surface, and finish. Demonstrations may include: lids, handles, section pots, altering forms, forms and fixtures for handbuilders, simple mechanical drawing techniques, and the use of slips in different consistencies. More advanced glazing techniques, including spraying, and wax over, will be covered. Basic knowledge of centering, trimming, and studio equipment required.
Students must attend first class.
Class price includes studio time (see posting), glazes and firings.
All ceramics students are required to read and follow the Ceramics Studio Policy. It contains information about students responsibilities and studio safety. Please read it by your first class. Copies are available online, at the MAC office and posted in the clay studio. By registering for a class or signing up for open studio, you are agreeing to follow studio policy. Thank you!
