About This Activity

Description

This activity is closed to further registration.

Learn the basics of making your own wood molding for picture frames. This informative workshop introduces the beginner to techniques using a table saw, router, and pneumatic nailer to make framing stock from dimensional lumber. No prior woodworking experience is necessary, and students are not required to use the power tools in order to complete the project. We will cover mat cutting, glass cutting, and the overall design process. Our focus will be on framing artwork on paper such as drawings, prints and photographs.

Please bring a piece of artwork or other work on paper to fit the frame. Price includes a $50 studio and materials fee which is non-refundable after class begins. Get materials list online.
