Discover the versatile world of monotype! Called the painterly print, a monotype is a single impression created by applying inks on a plexiglas plate and transferring the image to paper with a press. In this class we explore trace, subtractive, additive and viscosity approaches to monotype printmaking, as well as chine collé and drypoint techniques.
Students provide their own paper after first class.*Students cannot miss first class. Class price includes a non-refundable studio and materials fee.
Two options for this course:
# 1056846 - Class Only: 10am - 1pm. Class price for this includes a $30 non-refundable materials & studio fee.
# - Plus Studio time: 10am - 1pm PLUS 1:30pm - 3:30pm pm Class price includes a $40 non-refundable materials and studio fee.
