We're sorry, but this sub-activity is over. The last meeting was Monday, December 12, 2016.
This program provides an opportunity for youth to learn and increase their skills with their woodwind, brass, or percussion band instrument. The two classes are geared to students who have played for at least six months, and the other for first time players. Both classes will teach the fundamentals and the skills of playing a band instrument in a group setting. Participants will learn musicianship, appropriate theory concepts, and the ins and outs of proper instrumental technique.
All participants need to provide their instrument, music stand, and the following book: for beginners Essential Elements 2000 book 1 for their instrument; for intermediate Essential Elements 2000 books 1 & 2 for their instrument.
