Spend your February Vacation learning the basics of theatre! South Shore School of Theatre is happy to provide this opportunity for children to explore their stage skills through daily acting, dancing and theatre crafts. Students will learn how to audition for plays, work on scenes from plays, various musical theatre dance techniques and even learn how to make props and scenery for productions. Through daily acting games, warm-ups and rehearsals, students will grow in their confidence and performance ability. Students will also attend a live performance of James and the Giant Peach at Eastern Nazarene College on Tuesday, Feb. 18th. Students meet daily on the campus of Eastern Nazarene College for one week and will spend time each day on acting skills, dance steps, and props, set, and costume design. We welcome kids of all experience levels to join our program! It’s perfect for the child who can’t get enough of theatre and wants to spend vacation time honing her craft and it’s great for the child who wants to get his feet wet and try this out for the first time. A final presentation will take place at the end of the week for family and friends. Space is limited, and children are given space on a first come-first serve basis. Registration forms are due Feb. 13th, 2014. Sibling discounts of $50 are available. No scholarships for this program are available, but payment plans may be set up if needed.
