Think creatively and transform recycled materials into high-end runway fashion! Using plastic bags, bottles, corks, caps, drink pouches, fabric scraps and more, campers create garments and accessories – the possibilities are endless. Students will be able to shop for our recycled materials in our classroom store, sketch out a design and drape it onto a mannequin. We will teach campers how to hand stitch and make jewelry for accessorizing. If you have any fabric that you do not have use for, please feel free to donate it towards our Trashion Fashion camp. On Friday afternoon, we celebrate our designers at 3:15 with a runway fashion show! Please join us at 3:15PM. Note to parents: Campers will use hot glue in this camp. We have bought “hot glue finger caps” for campers to use to help negate accidental burns. The instructors and counselors will also teach campers how to safely use a hot glue gun and will monitor campers while they use it. This is full day camp that meets in the morning and afternoon. Students will need to bring two snacks and a lunch each day. Instructors: Kathryn Auman and Renee Boyette
