About This Activity
In this class we will be using a method called "process drama" to create an adventure to a magical land. We will be using an adventure story as a launching point. The students will use their imaginations to develop the world of our story. We will learn about story sequencing and problem solving. We will create characters, the plot, and create dialogue for our adventure. We will also create props and simple costuming accessories. It's a fun class that encourages creativity and play. Instructor: Melissa Platero Melissa Platero is a graduate from the UNC Greensboro with a BS in Education. She has homeschooled her own children since 2005. She loves theater arts and working with children to learn science and history through the telling of stories.
