About This Activity
In this hands-on class, students will take on the roles of being a journalist, designers, professional writers, and editors to help create the school’s yearbook and Monthly Newsletter. Students will develop skills in writing, layout and design, and talking to important people professionally all while working with deadlines and collaborating with their peers. They will be required to participate in writing articles for the Monthly Newsletter and taking pictures around the school for the yearbook. This class will offer a great opportunity for students to help capture the school year in pictures and in writing all while making it a fun learning environment for all students. Instructor: Abby Corona My name is Abby Corona and I have been going to THE since 2021. I am very passionate about writing and graphic design. I have successfully created the 2024-2025 THE yearbook with the help from the yearbook and newsletter club! And I am excited to be able to teach and share my interests with others.
