This course will provide a broad overview of contemporary 3D practice by introducing the conceptual and practical tools necessary to make sculpture today. It will explore various aspects of the medium, historical references, and technical methodologies necessary to realize works of art in various materials, including wood, metal, clay, and plaster. By the end of this course, students will be able to challenge historical assumptions of sculpture and develop their own personal 3D aesthetic. Instructor: Beck Fahey Dr. Beck Fahey is a passionate scientist who teaches a variety of classes at THE, covering everything from biochemistry to basketball and even cooking! She truly hopes her students develop a love for learning and eagerly shares her knowledge of science and education with the next generation.
