In Kitchen Science, the kitchen becomes a laboratory where we will explore the chemical and physical reactions that occur during cooking and baking. Through hands-on experimentation, we will delve into concepts such as yeast, baking soda and vinegar and mentos and Diet Coke reactions, ice cream, gummies and butter making, slime making and fermentation of foods. We will also construct our own solar oven to make s'mores, all while having a blast learning about the world around us. Instructor - Seema Kahn Seema Khan is a homeschooler with over 15 years of experience. She co- founded a homeschooling group during the 10 years she lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with her husband and 3 boys (19, 15 and 10 years old). She taught various classes through co-ops focused on giving kids a bespoke learning experience.
