About This Activity
Step out of your comfort zone and grow your creative mind in this beginner’s guide to improv class. Students will learn to think quickly, react to unexpected situations, and build scenes with others through exercises and games. By the end of this class they will not only have mastered the game of zip zap zop; they will know how to build trust, be able to build on others’ ideas, and would have found a supportive environment for personal and artistic growth. Instructor: Johanna Colon I’m currently a student at THE, and it’s such a supportive little community. I’ve been acting since I was 8 years old; I starred in films on Amazon Prime (Troop Zero) and Netflix (Feel the Beat). I also played young Kat in the Emmy award winning show Euphoria (HBO Max). As for my improv experience I was in a troop for 9 years where we performed short and long form. With teaching this class I hope to inspire your kid’s love for improv and offer guidance to anyone looking to become an actor/actress!
