Children, ages 8-15 will be divided by age/according to ability. Younger children may participate by permission of instructor. Students must bring a nut-free bag lunch and two snacks. Half Day Options are Available. Minimum of 10 Morning: Students have fun & innovate using LEGO bricks, simple machines, Serious Play models & NASA rockets that come to life through story/movie making, drama & games. Solve engineering & other 21st Century challenges through imaginative building and actively using multiple intelligences. Afternoon: Innovation Academy or Advanced Seminar LEGO Robotics, Rockets, Digital Story Making & Games Collaborate creating new inventions and designing solutions to engineering, scientific, and global grand challenges while leaning 21st Century STEM+ARTS+MOVEMENT themes: alternative energy, design, engineering, extreme eco-systems, commercial space & transportation, life sciences and sustainability. Using story and game making technologies create final projects and contribute to an ImagineSTEM blog. Computers provided for robotics. Students bring their own laptops or iPads with Minecraft, Powder and Terraria preloaded.
