Adventure Seekers; Come and accept the challenge for a week of fun and adventure training. You will have a very packed week of learning and hopefully by the end you will have learned more than you thought you could learn in just five days. Each of you will be challenged both physically and mentally in the week of training full of map reading and on the ground orientation with a day of outside hiking inserted to finish the week. We will learn all about the basic safety requirements of shooting an air rifle at our indoor shooting range and to learn about the importance of keeping our bodies healthy such as kickball, dodge ball, water survival and a trip to the “Panther Pit”; an outdoor physical training gymnasium that will surely test you physically. US Army Major (Retired) Joe Claburn is the Senior Instructor for the Camp utilizing many years of military service to teach the children basic skills that can be utilized in all aspects of life including military drill, map reading and basic orienteering, first aid, water survival, and rifle marksmanship. The Camp will finish with a hike up to the top of the local Friedrich Park and a rifle competition where the kids shoot for marksmanship medals. Early check in time is 7:30 am and late checkout is 5:30 pm Location: Rifle Range Supplies: Bathing suit (one piece for girls or two piece with an outer t-shirt) (swimming accessories are allowed, i.e. goggles), towel, flip flops, a nice pair of running and walking shoes for athletics and hiking, a water bottle for our time outside (REQUIRED), a hat, Sunglasses and sunscreen (optional but preferred), and bug spray (optional but suggested) REFUND POLICY: A $25.00 dollars processing fee will be charged to all cancellations. No refunds will be granted for cancellations or changes made in the Sports Camps after the start date. PAYMENT POLICY: All camps must be paid in full by the first day of the camp. Failure to do this will result in your child being cancelled from the camp.
