Camp: Advanced Topics in Scientific Problem Solving Week Day: Monday – Friday Date: June 30-July 18 Time: 1-3PM Location: Coates 214 Instructor: Mr. Walter Warner Price: $350 & $50 for lab supplies Description: Pre-requisite: successful completion of a first-year high school physics class and a chemistry course. This laboratory-centered course is designed for students who have completed a year of physics and a year of chemistry and are interested in future study of science at an advanced level. Quantitative and conceptual problem solving will be emphasized as we conduct college-level laboratory experiments relevant to biology, chemistry, and physics. Students wishing to improve their lab and problem solving skills in preparation for any study of science at the advanced level are encouraged to enroll. Supplies: Bound laboratory notebook, black pen, ½ inch 3-ring binder, graphing calculator, flash drive. A Wi-Fi-enabled, internet-capable device (laptop computer, or tablet preferred) is strongly encouraged. Minimum Number of Students: 6 REFUND POLICY: A $25.00 dollars processing fee will be charged to all cancellations. No refunds will be granted for cancellations or changes made in the Sports Camps after the start date. PAYMENT POLICY: All camps must be paid in full by the first day of the camp. Failure to do this will result in your child being cancelled from the camp.
