Designed to help students (and parents) transition smoothly to the new school year, Kinder Kids Camp is only open to students entering the Convent & Stuart Hall kindergarten program. Students are placed in single-sex classrooms for the duration of the program. At the beginning of each session, teachers introduce a variety of classroom routines and lively activities to provide campers with an academic and social foundation for kindergarten. Campers use educational manipulatives, games and other resources to develop fun and collaborative connections with their peers and teachers. Kinder Kids Camp offers valuable developmental experience in preparation for the coming school year. All campers are invited to join the afternoon Young at Heart Recreation Camp, where students enjoy a variety of grade-appropriate rotations. Past rotations have included science, art, movement, filmmaking, gymnastics, yoga, West African percussion, engineering and tinkering. For those who stay, lunch will begin at 11:45 p.m.
