For private lessons you must register at least two working days in advance.
All lessons are 1/2 hour in length (no group or semi-private lessons offered at this time). Please do not book back to back lessons without instructor's permission.
Instructor Courtney's minimum age requirement is 3 years old. All patrons (including children) are required to show proof of full vaccination (1st & 2nd dose) against COVID-19.
Instructor Bio:
Courtney (she/her) loves helping people on their swim journey and finds it absolutely fulfilling. She has been helping people learn to swim for 5+ years now. She has worked at swim academies for 5 years and taught independently for 4 years all over the Bay Area. She has been swimming since she was 5 and has always been involved in water activities: swim lessons, Jr Lifeguarding, high school swim team, water polo, & swim instruction! Courtney has created a unique learn-to-swim curriculum that has been proven to produce great swimmers that have little to no experience in the water. She is currently attending SFSU for a BA in Women & Gender Studies with a certificate in Holistic Health.
Courtney enjoys teaching students of all ages and swim experience but finds teaching those with 0 experience is her greatest strength. She specializes in teaching from scratch and helping people with past traumatic experiences in the water. She believes that swimming is a personal journey where she can lend a helping hand to anyone in order to overcome their fears of the water.
