About This Activity

In Film and Philosophy, we will first introduce students to a major topic or question within philosophy, and then screen a movie that relates to that philosophical topic. These topics include the nature of mind and personal identity, skepticism, and meta-ethics. Students will get to see these issues come to life in film, and then demonstrate their understanding of the material through discussions and creative projects, such as “explainer” videos using Adobe Voice software, visual narratives using Adobe Slate, as well as other apps available on smartphones and tablets. Students will be tasked with presenting these projects as their final assignments for the course. Instructor: Mr. David Marrufo (BISV teacher)
