BALLET PREPARATORY 2 Ballet Preparatory 2 is for First Graders and is a continuation of the Ballet Preparatory 1 curriculum with an emphasis on developing self-discipline. Exercises that promote body alignment, posture, and age appropriate stretches are introduced. Basic classical ballet positions are taught and an increased focus is expected in preparation for Level 1. SESSION LENGTH Pre-Ballet students are offered the option of enrolling for the entire school year (4 quarters) or by the quarter. Once students reach Level 1 they are expected to commit to the full school year. DRESS CODE Ballet Preparatory 2 Girls: Motionwear #2105 cap sleeved leotard in light blue, pink ballet slippers, pink tights. Hair in a ballet bun, no jewelry. All Pre-Ballet Boys: Navy blue shorts, white t-shirt (tucked-in), white ballet shoes, white crew socks. Make-up classes are available for Pre-Ballet students at the same level or one level lower. Students may take a make-up class for holidays other than the Winter and Spring Breaks that fall on their class day. Make-up classes must be taken within the same quarter as the absence.
